The guidelines for Ethical Impact Assessment (EIA) are based on the CEN Workshop Agreement part 2 CWA 17145-2:2017 (E) (Link), and the development into guidelines for performing an EIA follows a stepwise approach.

These guidelines are described in RiskGONE deliverable D3.6 (Link)

To address the need to consider regulatory thresholds influencing the marketing and use of nanomaterials, guidelines have been developed for collecting information from online regulatory databases relevant to nanotechnology governance (Link: Legal Compliance Tool). These guidelines are distinct from the EIA guidelines, because the former address formal legal requirements, whereas the latter target the exploration of potential ethical risks (and benefits) of nanomaterials.

To self-assess expected risks and benefits of the nanomaterials and products under study, a risk-benefit screening tool is included. (Link: Screening potential risks and benefits)

We suggest following the links in their order for performing the EIA but feel free to check the sections that are directly related to the type of assessment you would like to perform. Keep in mind that limitations might exist, as some steps are inter-connected.
